Weekly Wrap Up

December 28, 2015

Did you have a wonderful Christmas?  We felt blessed and had a great day.  We had some fun family parties leading up to Christmas and then woke up Christmas day to a blanket of snow….a couple feet at least.  It was so magical and we stayed home together all day long warm and cozy. It couldn’t have been better!

My weekly wrap up posts have been few and far between this last month.  And even though I committed to the RW Running Streak, I got consumed by family , holidays and activities and fell off the bandwagon. But last week – I made up for it last week!

Last week (and this week) are Christmas break and I am fully taking advantage of it!  No early morning work, no rushing off for schedules and school.  I love being able to be home and relax a little.  I’ve totally had time to RUN!

weekly run
Monday I decided to hit it hard with 10 miles, and then Tuesday I took it easy with 2.  Then I got looking around on Garmin Connect and decided I could really hit a great 2015 mileage goal if I really worked on it.  That would mean some serious running. But I have the time, so I decided to go for it.
So I ran. and I ran and I ran.
I’ve never run 3 long runs in one week and it was a little tough.  Saturday my run was broke down in two runs a 2 miler and an 8 miler.  I decided Monday to re-watch Grey’s Anatomy.  I had watched a couple of the seasons when it was on tv – but then gave it up.  Like I mentioned last week – a good show will get me through any treadmill run.

On top of the running, I’ve also been able to take advantage of some good reading time too.  I’ve finished some really great books that were on my to-read list and can’t wait to tell you about them.

My goals this week include:
finish my miles to hit my goal
post about my favorite nonfiction books for 2015
and share with you my goals and ideas for 2016!

Have any goals or big plans for this week?
Leave me a comment – let me know!
